Car Park fees apply in Frodsham
We are aware of parking fines being issued for exceeded times and for tyres that exceed the parking lines, so be careful!
Eddisburry Square is a free short-stay car park (2hrs max and no return for two hours) after which a fine of £100 can be imposed (£60 if paid within 2 wks). There is no ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) since its previous use failed to 'see' drivers leaving and issued erroneous 'time exceeded' fines. The intent to charge for this car-park was also relaxed following a local petition from those warning of its potential detrimental impact on local traders and residents.
Morrison's car park in the town is a private supermarket car park, 90 minute duration max. It uses ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) and can levy an £85 penalty. This was introduced to allow shoppers to find parking spaces at peak times.
